dignitas have clinched the second semi-final spot from second place in group A after a convincing victory over EZskins.

Afteer both teams lost the initial games, EZskins.com and Renegades duked it out in the elimination match, surprisingly on de_dust2 with the British kicking it off with a rather unconventional Terrorist pistol round strat.

Even after winning the following round, Renegades couldn't pick themselves up quite fully, as they were down a man nearly every other round, but managed to climb back in some of them.

RattlesnK's EZskins.com upset Renegades

One of those was a 1-on-3 clutch from Aaron "⁠AZR⁠" Ward on the B bombsite with the help of an incendiary grenade, a 1-on-1 from Chad "⁠SPUNJ⁠" Burchill being the other after Josh "⁠mole⁠" Rowley's quad-kill in a 2-on-5. Despite their heroics, Renegades went over to Terrorists with a one-round deficit, soon extended to four as EZskins.com won the second pistol round as well.

After a four-round streak from Renegades, Luke "⁠fearLess⁠" Morris showcased his AWP skills with a quad-kill, and the Australians couldn't find an answer to the double sniper setup. Sam "⁠RattlesnK⁠" Gawn put up seven kills in the last three rounds to make the upset at 16-11.

The last match of group A and the second spot in the semi-finals was to be decided between the British and the Danes then, and expectedly it was the latter who started off the better with 6-1 lead as Terrorists, only dropping a single gunround in the process.

fearLess's AWP triple got EZskins a second round, but dignitas replied right after to break the CTs' economy. Another triple from fearLess was not enough to convert into a round that time around, and EZskins.com were staring down the barrel at 10-2.

All three remaining rounds of the first half went the Danes' way too, and in neither was RattlesnK's lineup a threat. Dignitas picked up the second pistol comfortably as well, which was the last nail in EZskins.com's coffin.
